Why does it always seem pathetic when a girl is in love with a boy who doesn’t love her back, and romantic and heartbreaking when a boy loves a girl who doesn’t love him
I am not one for gender bias opinions, but for this case I will make an exception. Guys unfortunately, in this generation are just all about hooking up. And I’m not saying ALL guys, but let’s face it, there’s quite a bit heading to that mindset. For most guys it’s really hard to actually want even get into a relationship and to have a special connection with someone. And when they do it’s just that much more special because we girls all desire this and it’s way more common than for guys. To explain my point better I think this quote from Blue Valentine said by Ryan Gosling’s character perfectly says it all:
"I feel like men are more romantic than women. When we get married we marry, like, one girl, ‘cause we’re resistant the whole way until we meet one girl and we think I’d be an idiot if I didn’t marry this girl she’s so great. But it seems like girls get to a place where they just kinda pick the best option… ‘Oh he’s got a good job.’ I mean they spend their whole life looking for Prince Charming and then they marry the guy who’s got a good job and is gonna stick around."
